IT IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE ALWAYS HAVE DONE IT

Do you remember the time before Google? You know when you asked mom or dad why things where a certain way. For example: "Why is it important to get married?" or "Why do you have to work?"

The answer was often: "Because that is the way it's has always been done."

There is so many things we do just because "it's always been done like that". But the rules has changed and the world to. We don't longer have to do everything like it's always been done, we can actually do what's right for us. Many times that is actually a lot better.

Where you like many raised with the view that life should be like this:
  • Get an education
  • Get a job
  • Get married
  • Have kids
  • Work on the same boring job until you retire (then you can move to Florida and start living)
There is absolutely nothing wrong with living the life this way, but it is not for everyone. A lot of us have bigger dreams than that. We want to work with something that we love, we want to see the world, we want to adjust our schedule to our dreams.

Have you really thought about how you spend your time and money?

How much are you really making per day and it is worth it?

EXAMPLE:
Sarah has a well paid job as an administrative manager in a small company. It is not her dream job (her passion is food & travel) but it pays her bills and "sponsors" her life style. Let's take a closer look at her finances.

Salary after taxes: $3,600

Monthly expenses:
Rent: $1,500
Food: $400
Transportation: $300
Clothes & entertainment: $200
Insurance: $300
Credit payments: $300
Miscellaneous: $100
Total: $3,100

Money left after expenses: $500

How much is really Sarahs salary per hour after she has paid all her expenses?
Let's assume that Sarah works 160 hours per month (40 h/week).

$500 (money left after expenses) / 160 (monthly hours worked) ≈ $3/hour.
$3 x 8 (one workday) = $24

Is it really worth sacrificing your best years doing something you don't like just to make a few bucks a day?

It is up to you, all of us have different goals and dreams. Some people can have a job that they not love because they just see it as a job and shut it off when they get home.

When I got fired a few years ago I realized that it wasn't worth it to work for somebody else. I got to learn the hard way and had to get fired to get the real motivation to start creating my own business. But deep inside me I had always known that I wanted to go my own way and spend my days doing what I love.

Do what you want to do and don't wait:
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

Just because people have done things a certain way for a long time it doesn't automatically mean that its right.

Go your own way and don't get a job - Create one!
