"To be successful means to have a balance of achievements in the various areas of your life. You cannot honestly call yourself successful in your business life if your family life is in shambles."
- Zig Ziglar

We all want to be happy, right?

Have you ever thought about what you need to be happy? Is it money, love, friends, fast cars, adventures or all of the above?

As an athlete I was very good but I lacked a lot of knowledge in others areas of life such as relationships, money etc. I decided to learn and spent thousands of hours learning about life´s different areas and trying to find a recipe for a life with a lot of joy and happiness.

Today I will share what I believe is the way to go to be happy. It works for me and I think it will work for you too.
Picture
I believe that to be really happy and satisfied with your life you need to fulfilled in the key areas of life and have a balance between them.

  • Health. If you don’t feel well, physically or mentally, it doesn’t matter how it looks like in other areas of your life. By creating good health, you have come a long way towards a balanced and successful life.
  • Money. Money is something all people need. Rent, mortgage, clothes, travel, cars, health, education, food and so on. By creating financial stability you make your life so􏰂􏰍􏰔􏰈􏰒􏰅􏰌􏰎􏰑 much easier.􏰗􏰍􏰌􏰍􏰈􏰑􏰌􏰊􏰃 􏰆􏰎􏰌􏰄􏰑􏰊􏰑􏰎􏰓􏰃 􏰓􏰂􏰇􏰃
  • Personal Goals. Personal goals can involve everything from your career to interests, such as sports, dream trips or a desire to play a musical instrument. By supporting your personal interests you give yourself a chance to become a happier person.
  • Relationship Goals. Most of us want to share our success and happiness with someone. We also want someone who can support us in difficult times. Relationships also􏰏􏰂􏰃􏰈􏰌􏰍􏰃􏰆􏰇􏰢􏰢􏰂􏰒􏰎􏰃􏰇􏰆􏰃􏰑􏰍􏰃􏰘􏰑􏰣􏰈􏰇􏰊􏰎􏰃􏰎􏰑􏰋􏰅􏰆􏰔􏰃􏰺􏰅􏰊􏰌􏰎􏰑􏰂􏰍􏰆􏰏􏰑􏰢􏰆􏰃􏰌􏰊􏰆􏰂􏰃 include friendship, family, colleagues and so on.
  • Social Goals. 􏰅􏰃􏰆􏰂􏰈􏰑􏰌􏰊􏰃􏰠􏰂􏰌􏰊􏰆􏰃􏰑􏰍􏰐􏰂􏰊􏰐􏰅􏰆􏰃􏰏􏰂􏰚􏰃􏰓􏰂􏰇􏰃􏰈􏰌􏰍􏰃􏰌􏰍􏰘􏰃The social goals involves how you can and want to behave towards others, how you communicate with your surroundings. There are so many nice people in􏰑􏰎􏰏􏰃􏰓􏰂􏰇􏰒􏰃􏰆􏰇􏰒􏰒􏰂􏰇􏰍􏰘􏰑􏰍􏰠􏰆􏰔􏰃􏰞􏰅􏰒􏰅􏰃􏰌􏰒􏰅􏰃􏰆􏰂􏰃􏰋􏰌􏰍􏰓􏰃􏰍􏰑􏰈􏰅􏰃􏰢􏰅􏰂􏰢􏰊􏰅􏰃􏰑 the world who wish you well and by communicating in the right way, you can attract the people you want in your life.
To create a balanced life you need to work with all of the things above. By challenging yourself to develop in all these areas, you will learn a lot about yourself and create a meaningful life that includes every aspect of life. For me, success and being happy is not to just seek success in one area and “forget” about the others. I don’t know if you have thought about this before, but give yourself the chance to work with all areas. If you really decide to do this, I can promise you that your life will be better in every way.

Imagine that you have mastered all areas, imagine that you are healthy, well and strong, imagine that you have the financial stability you desire, imagine that your are striving for your personal goals, imagine that you have good relationships in your life and the social stability to attract the people you want in your life. What more can you ask for?

This is what I believe that you need to be happy. It is not easy, but I know that if a regular guy like me can do it, you can do it!

This quote by John Lennon sums it up perfectly:
“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”
― John Lennon.

Good look on your journey to happiness.

If you need the tools to create success and happiness in the different areas of life you should read my book: The Goal Book: How to Achieve Your Dreams and Create a Better Life. It has already help thousands of people finding their own blueprint for life, and it can help you too.

The Power of Keeping Your Word

"People with good intentions make promises but people with good character keep them."
Picture
My father and Shihan (master) always told to keep my promises.
As a lifelong martial artist my Sensei (trainer) and father always told me to keep my promises. He told me that if you say something, then you do it. Always honor your word. That is why my word is very important to me because I want to be a person with character and integrity.

Unfortunately nowadays a lot of people talk a lot and do nothing. Let me tell you one example  from my own life that I would like to share with you.

A few months ago I arranged a Boot Camp. Ten people voluntarily signed up to join. Do you know how many people that showed up? 1. Only one person of ten showed up to something that they voluntarily said that they wanted to do, no one forced them.

Isn't that strange you think? How can you expect great results, great friendships, great relationships and a great life if you can't even keep a promise?

How is it for you? How important is your word? Do you keep promises to friends, family, partners, customers and most importantly to yourself?

Today I will give you a few reasons as two why you should start acting like a true martial artist and start keeping your word. When you do, you will start noticing how your life will change. You will feel better and start to get a lot better results in life.
Picture

Why You Should Start Keeping Your Word

  • Self Worth - A person that keeps his/her word is a person with self worth that actually knows how important it is to keep his/her word.
  • You Get What You Give - In life, you can never expect to get something more (or less) than what you give. The better person you are, the better people you will attract.
  • It Feels Good - There is no better feeling than the feeling of being a person someone can count on. Imagine if your wife or husband never kept their word? Is that a life to live? Don't you want to keep the promises you have to your son or daughter?

Last but not least:
  • It Gives You Great Results - My job is to study successful people. I have studied thousands of businessmen, athletes, parents etc. that are successful. Do you know what all of them have in common? They all do what they say that they are going to do.

If you want a little more help with your dreams, you should take my 100 % FREE 7-Day Goal Book Challenge.

Have a great week and remember:

Don't just talk the talk, instead walk the walk.

It Is Really Hard To Do That - or is it?

Have you ever heard people say the phrase "It is really hard to do that!" about a task, subject or accomplishment they never even tried of doing?

I hear it everyday. Last time was yesterday when a colleague of mine said:
"It is really hard to market a book."

My follow up question was:

"Have you ever done it?"

She said no. This happens everyday to a lot of people. They tell someone in their surrounding about a goal or dream and get the standard phrase "It is really hard to do that!" from a person that doesn't know shit (pardon my French) about the subject.

This is why today I want to tell you to be very, very careful to which person you are listening to. Nothing is really impossible, it could be difficult and take som time but with the right strategy and execution you could do it.

Remember though that you need the right persons around you.

Through the course of my lifetime people has always laughed at me when I told them about my goals:
  • "I am going to be a national champion!" - My so called friends laughed and said "It is really hard to do that!" - But I did it and even became it 8 times - not by listening to them, instead I followed the path of the successful athletes before me and wasn't afraid of failing. I even became a World medalist by training hard an believing in myself.
  • "I am going to write a book!" - Haha, you can't do that - "It is really hard to do that!". Who is laughing now, I have written two books in Swedish (which is among the most sold self development books in Sweden) and one was recently released in the US - The Goal Book.
  • "I am going to have that girl!" - "Haha, she is out of your league." She might be but I will be the one that she choses, and she did. It wasn't easy and I hade to up my game, but I did it.

When no one believed in me, I believed in myself and found other people that had done what I wanted to do. I followed their way and dared to go after what I want. I don't tell you this to brag or to show off, I simply want to share with you that if I can, I know you can too!

Let me give you a few tips on how to dare to go after what you really want even when people tells you: "It is really hard to do that!"

5 Tips To Accomplish Your Goals

Tip #1: Choose your tribe
Do you think you can become a World Champion of anything by hanging out with people who doesn't have ambition? Iron sharpens iron so make sure to hang out with people that is doing what you want to be doing in 5-10 years from now. Also find people around you that support you and makes you stronger not weaker.

Tip #2: Work on yourself
You don't need money to build your empire. The only thing you need right now is determination and a positive attitude. Work on yourself so you became strong mentally.

Tip #3: Have patience
Did you know that Coca Cola only sold 25 bottles the first year in business? That didn't stop them, the kept going and the rest is history. You can usually get what you want but you need to have patience because many times it takes longer than you have expected.

Tip #4: The feeling of wanting to give up is a good sign
When you feel like giving up, remember that it is a sign. It is a good sign which means that this is now most people would have given up, but not you. It is simply a weeding out process, every time you feel like this someone else is quitting. Don't let it be you!

Tip #5: Learn more
Knowledge is the single most important thing for success. The more you know about your area the bigger chances for success. Always take time to learn and remember that you can learn something from anyone, just keep you eyes open and be willing to learn.

If you need help in getting there you should read my book The Goal Book: How to Achieve Your Dreams and Create a Better Life. The Goal Book will help you set goals and give you the tools to actively work with them every day.

Today I am starting a crazy challenge. I will challenge myself to create the best work of my life at a pace of 3x a "regular" person while at the same time enjoying myself.

Do you want to join? My girlfriend loved the idea and jumped on the train and I am sure that there are many of you out there that also wants to increase value in your life.

Imagine when we succeed, then we have created 6 months of high caliber work in just about two months (58 days).

Goal: 6 months of world class work in 58 days while still enjoying life = 3 X

In this blog post I will give you a few pointers and tips to work out your own strategy to create 6 months of work in only 2 months,

Success Factors:
  1. Brain Control - You have to be able to control your brain to work at this high caliber. Now what you want and stay positive and focused.
  2. Certainty 100% Everyday - To succeed you have to be 100 % sure of your mission, why are you doing this and what do you want to accomplish?
  3. World Class Strategy - You have to make a strategy to work smart, not only hard. The only way to get three times the result of a "regular" person is to work smarter. It is not always about running faster, its about running in smarter and in the right direction.

On the pictures above you can see a few of my notes from last night when I made my strategy for my challenge.

Two things that I always try to emphasize when I am setting goals and making plans is to never sacrifice my health and relationships.

I know (and you should too) that a good health and good relationships is the key to actually excel in anything.

Ok so you want to create 6 months of work in 2 months but don't know where to start. Follow my easy guide to get started.

How To Do 6 Months of Work Before Summer

1. Write down what it is that you want to accomplish.

2. Write down why you are doing this and what it will feel like when you have accomplished your goal.

3. Make a strategy - what do you have to do on a daily and weekly basis (this is the key ingredient, you need to find out and write down exactly what it is that you want to accomplish).

4. Focus on doing as many quality activities (don't settle for nothing less than your best work) as possible and the results will follow.

5. Make a plan on how to take care of your health and relationships.

I am starting right now, and I hope you do too!

If you need help in getting there you should read my book The Goal Book: How to Achieve Your Dreams and Create a Better Life. The Goal Book will help you set goals and give you the tools to actively work with them every day.

What If Stress Didn't Exist

4/14/2016

Remember that stress doesn't come from what's going on in your life. It comes from your thoughts about what's going on in your life.
- Andrew J. Bernstein

Picture
A few days ago when I was drinking my morning coffee I started to philosophize about stress and what it means to my life.

I am usually very good at handling stress and most times I believe I got my day covered, mostly because I have created great habits which include exercise, meditation, healty diet, friends, relationships, just enough quality sleep etc.

BUT, the last days I saw myself doing all the same mistakes that I help other people discover and change. I was rushing to finish every task. I did five tasks at one time and finished none. I didn't plan my days. Basically I did all the beginners mistakes you can do when it comes to stress and being unproductive.

Do you recognize yourself?

So I was thinking what if the word stress didn't even exist. How would life look like then?

Would I get more or less done? Would the quality of my work be better or worse?

Let me tell you what I discovered and what the research in the area says.
Picture
Resarch shows that too little stress can lead to boredom and depression but to much stress can cause anxiety and poor health. When you find the right amount of stress it tunes up the brain and improves your performance and health.

The last few days instead of stressing I decided to plan my days and work focused with one task at a time. Instead of worrying about five things I started with only one thing at a time.

The results were astonishingly good:
  • I got more work done
  • It was of higher quality
  • And I enjoyed the process more

Five things you can do to stress less

  1. Start the day with exercise.
  2. Plan your day - and do the toughest tasks first.
  3. Put just enough pressure on yourself to feel motivated instead of overwhelmed (this is different for everybody and you have to find what works for you).
  4. Take small breaks (about 5 min) every hours. (Don't go on your phone, instead talk with your colleagues, friends and try to move your body).
  5. Enjoy the process. You have to realize that you will never be done with life. This might sound dramatic but even when you die you will still have things that are undone. Don't worry so much and try to enjoy the short time you have on this planet.

Are You Selling Yourself Short?

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”
- Norman Vincent Peale

Picture
"I so want to do it, but I am afraid."

"What are you afraid of?"

"I am afraid that people won't like me."

"What else?"

"That's it, I don't want to be disliked."

Have you ever had this conversation with yourself? Let's be honest here. If everybody likes you then you are doing it wrong. Simple is that.

If everybody likes you then you are not living life to your fullest potential.

Don't sell yourself short in life, if you have a passion for something, have a dream or really want to do something, then you should go do it, period!

It doesn't matter what you do there will always be people talking you down. It is normal.

Does the thought of being disliked scare you?

It certainly scares me, but I have realized that when people want you to fail or talking you down, it is a sign of weakness on their side, not yours. They are insecure themselves and are afraid to go after what they want so they figure they talk other people down instead.

Don't bother, instead focus on the people that is out there hustling, grinding and working hard for their dreams.

They know the taste of failure, they know the taste of other peoples trash talk. But they also know the sweet, sweet taste of success. That feeling when preparation meets opportunity.
Picture
Today I will give you a little exercise. I want you to answer three questions. It will take you approximately 10-15 minutes. Answer the questions now, don't wait!
  1. What dream are you most afraid of going after?
  2. Why is that?
  3. What 3 steps can you take this week to start going after this dream?

Write this down and please be honest to yourself. You can lie to others (even if its not good), but please don't lie to yourself.

If you want a little more help with your dreams, you should take my 100 % FREE 7-Day Goal Book Challenge.

Have a great week and don't sell yourself short, you deserve a life that you are proud of!

Welcome to Part 2 of the article series: How to feel good about yourself. This monday we covered how to feel good about yourself externally.

I you haven't read Part 1 yet you can read it here:
How To Feel Good About Yourself - Part 1 Externally

Today we will talk about what you can do to improve your mental game, to actually feel better about yourself. Did you know that a human thinks about 65,000 thoughts per day? 95 percent of those thoughts are the same as you thought yesterday. It means that if you don’t change the way you think it will be hard to make a change. On the other hand: if you learn to master your thoughts and think the thoughts that are right for you, you will enter the right track. This is one of the reasons that some people can win again and again and succeed more and more, they are not better but mentally stronger.

Come along, because below I will show you a few exercises and techniques that you can use to feel good about yourself internally.
Picture
Competing in Karate requires fast reflexes to react instantly. To do so your mental game must be on point.

Internal Things To Do To Feel Good About Yourself

  • Morning Routines
The start of the day is crucial for feeling good about yourself. Make sure to start your day with positive thoughts and no stress. Focus on what you are grateful for and what fun things the day will offer.
  • Unplug for at least 30 min a day
I don't care how important you think you are, you need at least thirty minutes a day without e-mails, text and social media. In today's society our brain goes through to much stress in dealing with all the impressions. Make sure to give yourself a rest from that every day.
  • Make You-time
Every day you need a few minutes to just yourself, it could be meditating, going for a walk or watching the sunset. Time for relaxion and reflection is great for your internal strength.
  • Create Affirmations
Affirmations is statements intended to provide you with encouragement, emotional support and motivation. Find one or a few affirmartions that you could start working with to create a positive and strong aura. Say them to yourself 5-10 times a few times a day.
    Affirmation examples:
"I am strong, healthy and happy."
"I am capable of accomplishing my goals and have the strength to work hard for my dreams."
"I will become a World Champion dancer."
  • STOP bad thoughts
I have them, you have them and most of us have them. You know those negative thoughts that brings us down. A smart excersice to try is that every time a bad though occurs think of a STOP-sign. The STOP-sign symbolizes that this thought is nothing that you let in to your brain and that the thought actually has no truth to it. It is just a thought that you know have stopped.
  • Night Routines
The end of the day are equally important as the start of the day. Before going to bed make time to recap the day. What are today's lessons? What did you enjoy the most today? Also why not end the day with a book or some good music that you like.

What can you start implementing in your day right away?

Go for it, it works for me and I am almost certain that it will work for you!

How To Feel Good About Yourself - Part 1 Externally

4/4/2016

Picture
This weekend I washed my car, got my hair cut, shaved, trimmed my body hair, exercised, had a massage and dressed up. And you know what happened to me?

It made me feel so incredibly good about myself.

This week we will talk about what you can do to feel good about yourself, because when you love yourself you give other people the opportunity to do the same. It is hard to attract your dream partner, have great friends or land that big deal if you don't feel good about yourself.

In todays post we will cover the external parts that can affect our happiness and on thursday I will share my thoughts on how you can work with yourself internally to love yourself.

I know you are a busy person so lets cut to the chase.

What can you really do to feel good about yourself?

First of all let me tell you why I am writing this. My goal for you (and myself) is to become a master of life.

That leads to the question:
What is a master of life?

My definition of a master of life:
"A person that feels that he/she is successful in all parts of life and have a balance between the areas of Health, Money, Personal Goals, Relationships and the Social aspects of life."

I don't care how other people define success the most important thing is that you feel successful and that is something that only you can decide.

For some people success is earning a million dollars, for others its ten million and for others it is to be healthy, It is up to you but be honest to yourself and choose yourself instead of being affected by how society value success.
Picture

External Things To Do To Feel Good About Yourself

Funny enough a lot of these things are traits that my father and grandfather used to teach me (both very successful in their fields).

  • Excersice
There is something special about exercising that makes you feel good about yourself.
  • Shave (goes for girls too)
Shave and trim your body hair guys and girls, it looks good and also makes you feel sexier and better about yourself.
  • Care for your hair
Don't forget to cut your hair regularly and use hair products that takes care of your hair.
  • Fresh underwear and socks
When did you last buy underwear? Maybe its time to update your wardrobe with some new underwear.
  • Smell good
Make sure to shower everyday and use a perfume that you like (but don't use to much)
  • Clean clothes
Wear clothes that you feel good about wearing and at the same type fits your personality and body shape (don't forget to wash them).
  • Fresh breath
Brush your teeths, go to the dentist often and use chewing gums.
  • Smile
A person that smiles shows confidence and it also makes other people smile (WIN-WIN).
  • Stand tall
Take a deep breath and straighten you back, it shows confidence and that you are comfortable with yourself.

How many of these traits do you practice on a daily basis? Give it a try, it works for me and I am almost certain that it will work for you!

On thursday we will cover how you can work with your mental attitude to feel good about yourself.

I you want more tips like these you should join my exclusive success group.

It is 100% FREE and I will even give you two free chapters of my life changing book The Goal Book.
