How To Feel Good About Yourself - Part 1 Externally

Today we will talk about what you can do to improve your mental game, to actually feel better about yourself. Did you know that a human thinks about 65,000 thoughts per day? 95 percent of those thoughts are the same as you thought yesterday. It means that if you don’t change the way you think it will be hard to make a change. On the other hand: if you learn to master your thoughts and think the thoughts that are right for you, you will enter the right track. This is one of the reasons that some people can win again and again and succeed more and more, they are not better but mentally stronger.

Come along, because below I will show you a few exercises and techniques that you can use to feel good about yourself internally.

Internal Things To Do To Feel Good About Yourself

  • Morning Routines
The start of the day is crucial for feeling good about yourself. Make sure to start your day with positive thoughts and no stress. Focus on what you are grateful for and what fun things the day will offer.
  • Unplug for at least 30 min a day
I don't care how important you think you are, you need at least thirty minutes a day without e-mails, text and social media. In today's society our brain goes through to much stress in dealing with all the impressions. Make sure to give yourself a rest from that every day.
  • Make You-time
Every day you need a few minutes to just yourself, it could be meditating, going for a walk or watching the sunset. Time for relaxion and reflection is great for your internal strength.
  • Create Affirmations
Affirmations is statements intended to provide you with encouragement, emotional support and motivation. Find one or a few affirmartions that you could start working with to create a positive and strong aura. Say them to yourself 5-10 times a few times a day.
    Affirmation examples:
"I am strong, healthy and happy."
"I am capable of accomplishing my goals and have the strength to work hard for my dreams."
"I will become a World Champion dancer."
  • STOP bad thoughts
I have them, you have them and most of us have them. You know those negative thoughts that brings us down. A smart excersice to try is that every time a bad though occurs think of a STOP-sign. The STOP-sign symbolizes that this thought is nothing that you let in to your brain and that the thought actually has no truth to it. It is just a thought that you know have stopped.
  • Night Routines
The end of the day are equally important as the start of the day. Before going to bed make time to recap the day. What are today's lessons? What did you enjoy the most today? Also why not end the day with a book or some good music that you like.
